RedHat has kicked off another POSSE, this one on the other side of a continent and an ocean from where I live. (The faculty have come together in Singapore… I hope my travels take me that way someday!) I’m looking forward to seeing what they have to say, and what their experiences are like. Their blogs are online, and I’ll be doing my best to keep an eye on them over the coming days, weeks, and months ahead.

    Wow, thanks for watching!

I’m hoping we’ll have increasingly better documentation as time goes by – the quality of which should continue to improve even after this POSSE week is over. A lot of exciting things have been happening inside the classroom – the iceberg-below-the-surface bit – and they are clearly starting to grok open source – we just haven’t quite figured out web output in English yet. You’ve seen a little if you’ve been lurking in the #teachingopensource-posse channel (which you have), but it’s hard to capture the experience…

Perhaps I can get some of it on video. Perhaps we need to invite a documentary filmmaking team in for this or somesuch. I don’t know what a better way to capture POSSEs is, but me trying to write/blog everything is pretty unsustainable (I was only able to doc the first one the way I did because Dave and Chris were teaching).
